Senior Lecturer: Dr Reshma Sucheran Tel: 031 373 5509 Email: reshma@dut.ac.za Location: Durban Campus: Ritson Campus Qualification(s): BA (UKZN), BA HONS (UKZN), MA (UKZN), PhD (UKZN) Bio: Dr Reshma Sucheran joined DUT in 1997, and is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Hospitality and Tourism. She started her lecturing career in 1994 at UKZN, and has more than 23 years experience in higher education. Her core functions at DUT include lecturing, curriculum development, postgraduate supervision and research publication. Dr Sucheran holds a PhD in Geography and Environmental Science from UKZN, and is a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society for being amongst the top 15% of postgraduate students at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Her academic interests include: sustainable development, environmental management, climate change and responsible tourism. She also has many years of lecturing experience in Research Methodology and Statistical Analysis of Data in Social Science. Courses Currently Teaching: Tourism Development 1 Research and Innovation focus: Sustainable tourism development, environmental management, climate change, corporate social responsibility (CSR) and responsible tourism. |
