Bio: Musasa Kabeya was born in Likasi, DR Congo. He received his B.Sc. in Electromechanical Engineering from University of Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of Congo, in 2006, and his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from ESIEE-Amiens, École d’Ingénieurs à Amiens France and University of Pretoria, South Africa, in 2012 and 2016, respectively. From January 2017 to July 2018, he was a postdoctoral researcher at University of Johannesburg in South Africa. He joined the Durban University of Technology in July 2018 as a Senior Lecturer. He is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Electrical Power Engineering at Durban University of Technology. His research interests are in power electronics, including its application in electrical machines, power system, renewable energy and electric drives.
