Project Manager: Eugene Zeelie Telephone: 031 373 3723 Fax: 086 674 0672 Email: eugenez@dut.ac.za Campus: Steve Biko Campus Bio: Eugene Zeelie is an Industrial Engineer and has joined DUT in July 2015 as a consultant at the KZN Industrial Energy and Training Centre’s Technology Station. Prior experience included 11 years spent working in the UK and Europe. In 2006 he joined the Vaal University of Technology’s Technology Station in Materials and Processing Technologies as Head of Processes. Here he was instrumental in the development of various commercially viable products, incorporating Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing) technologies for the use in functional prototyping. Research and special interests includes the influence of lean based principles on additive manufacturing for future manufacturing industries and the development of alternative energy training and auditing material. Current developments and facilitation includes the development and implementation of Monitoring and Verification material for local training and industry applications. This will contribute to industry energy saving verifications, accurate reporting on energy project savings, energy efficiency and demand management. This is also supported by various DUT IEETR developed training courses, M&V training laboratory and equipment; and specific industry leader co-operations. |
