BIOGRAPHY 

Dr Gita Mistri is a Senior Academic Developer at the Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) at the Durban University of Technology (DUT). Her work explores the pedagogical, ethical, and institutional implications of artificial intelligence in higher education. Her research examines the intersection of generative AI and human cognition, focusing on how emerging technologies shape learning, knowledge construction, academic practice, and professional development. She designs and facilitates professional learning initiatives that support the responsible integration of AI into curriculum design, assessment, supervision, and scholarly practice, while contributing to institutional capacity building, policy-informed practice, and the ethical use of emerging technologies.
