Extended Curriculum Programmes Institutional Leadership, Development and Co-ordination

Extended Curriculum programme is a DHET funded initiative to support institutions to design and implement alternate curriculum paths for the completion of undergraduate qualifications. ECPs are defined as “A full degree or diploma programme into which substantial additional provision is incorporated with the express purpose of facilitating learning and improving the completion rate among students who are underprepared for the corresponding regular curriculum as a result of educational inequalities” (Scott, 2019)

CELT ECP team in collaboration with programme departments facilitates the design and implementation of extended curriculum and provides visionary leadership, conceptualise operations and implement developmental opportunities for staff and students to meet the objectives of ECP.
