QUALIFICATIONS

  • Postgraduate Diploma in Child and Youth Care (DUT), 2024.
  • Bachelor of Arts Honours in Psychology (UNISA), 2020.
  • Bachelor of Arts in Health Sciences and Social Services (UNISA), 2018.

BIOGRAPHY

Nkanyezi Xulu is an nGAP and NESP Administrator. She is responsible for supporting the nGAP and NESP manager in coordinating the programmes. Additionally, she is responsible for monitoring and tracking of nGAP and NESP candidates’ development and progress. Liaising with the UCDP team to monitor and keep track of nGAP and NESP financial aspects. She also assists with administrating DUT Standardised Assessment Test for Access and Placement (SATAP) and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Lastly, she serves as the Staff and Curriculum Development (CASD) Unit administrative support.

She commenced her career in higher education as an intern through the DSI-HSRC Internship Programme that placed her at DUT. She completed her internship under the mentorship of Dr S Rathilal. She has since grown a fondness for studying and understanding the benefits of positive peer programmes. Her research interests lie in exploring the outcomes of peer mentoring within the contexts of university capacity development programmes.
