STAFF DEVELOPMENT
Staff Development Programmes/Projects
- Mainstreaming Academic Literacies including an Annual Symposium
The purpose of this project is to explore different models and theories of academic literacies. It provides staff with the opportunity to raise to consciousness the academic disciplinary expectations they have of students, critique the appropriateness of these academic expectations and explore ways of designing curricula and revising teaching practices and materials to facilitate the development of the necessary literacies in their students.
