Academic Induction Programme

Academic Induction Programme

The Academic Staff Induction Programme serves to introduce newly appointed academic staff to the policies, procedures and practices of higher education and the university. Underpinned by Transformative Learning (Mezirow, 2000) and Living Educational Theory (Whitehead, 2007), the programme fosters critical reflection, reflexivity and scholarly practice.

The programme is offered in each semester, January to June and July to December. In the current context of multimodal engagements, the programme is structured as 15 online workshops, per semester. Participants attend in one semester.
