  • Master of Social Sciences in Health Promotion
  • General Psychology Honours.
  • Bachelor of Social Work.

BIOGRAPHY

Siyabonga Mbambo is the Academic Developer for Access, Placement, and Diagnostic Testing. In this role, he coordinates Standardized Assessment Tests for Access and Placement (SATAP Tests) for the Durban University of Technology, overseeing the development, administration, and analysis of SATAP Tests for placement and diagnostic testing. With over a decade of experience in higher education, focusing on student support and success through various roles such as lecturing, mentoring, career advising, and student counselling, Siyabonga has developed expertise in student success and academic excellence initiatives. Currently a PhD student, Siyabonga holds a Master’s degree in Health Promotion, an Honours degree in General Psychology, and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, all from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN). He is committed to ensuring that the DUT SATAP Tests are fair, valid, and effective in diagnosing student potential and determining placements.
